Our Food:
Our kitchen operates on weekdays from 10am until around 9pm. We take an hour break from cooking between 4pm and 5pm every day apart from Saturday.
We are a very busy kitchen and during peak times there may be a delay. Wherever possible we will inform guests of the estimated wait time for their food before the order is placed, if it will be substantially longer than normal. However, please understand that due to the fast paced nature of our kitchen this may not always be possible.
If you have an allergy to nuts, eggs, gluten, fish, peanuts, soybeans, milk, crustaceans, celery (and celeriac), mustard, sesame, sulphur dioxide, lupin or molluscs, we have an allergy advice sheet kept behind the bar you can refer to although we cannot guarantee any of our food is allergen free.
Each of our dishes are prepared to order and as such if orders are placed separately they may not arrive at the same time.
Alcohol:
Management retain the right of admission to the venue at any stage. We support Pubwatch and are in contact with city marshals, the police, CCTV operators and the security staff of other venues in the city. Don’t spoil your night by causing trouble – details of any incidents are very quickly shared between all these authorities. Keeping Bath a safe place is a very high priority for us.
We are unable to admit persons who are intoxicated or getting close to that point. If “just one more drink” is going to take you to that condition then we will refuse entry or not serve that drink.
Please be aware that although it is not an exact science, if our bar staff feel that you have had enough to drink then you will be refused service and asked to leave the premises. This is for your own safety as well as to comply with the law. The management operate a policy of zero tolerance to drugs. Persons found in possession, or suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance will be reported to the police.
Lost Property
The management accept no responsibility for articles lost or damaged on the premises.
Tabs and Card Payments
Unfortunately we do not offer tabs on tables in our garden. This is due to several occasions where patrons have left without paying – either accidentally or otherwise. We cannot hold a card behind the bar to secure a tab. We have trialled this method in the past and it led to more problems than solutions.
Animals and Birds
We do allow dogs into our premises as long as they are well behaved and on a leash. Please ask at the bar if you would like some water for your dog to drink as we can provide this. Our garden is open air and in the centre of town and there may occasionally be seagulls or pigeons in the area. They are an annoyance as we cannot remove them and unfortunately we cannot replace any food or drink that they may “deposit” on. Use of our garden indicates you are aware of this risk.
